Mike Igoe
Michael Igoe founded Coach Igoe, Inc. in 2024 and has expertise with career, leadership, and executive coaching. Mike works with businesses, entrepreneurs, and individuals seeking clarity, direction, and growth. That's a fancy way of saying that he's passionate about helping people find a better professional path—no matter their age, industry, or objective.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point. This rigorous education gave him his foundation in leadership; he served nearly eight years as a U.S. Army Officer, including peacekeeping in Kosovo and combat operations in Iraq.
After leaving the military, Mike attended Notre Dame in pursuit of his MBA. After completing his education, Mike supported broadcast operations and finance at ABC News in New York. He then served as a Program Manager at BAE Systems in Virginia, leading 65 intelligence analysts in support of sensitive national security missions. For almost a decade, he worked in project management at Carbon Black, a high-growth cybersecurity startup in Massachusetts. He advanced from individual contributor to Director while the company experienced exponential growth, held its initial public offering, and was acquired...twice.
Through his own career journey—plus his own revelatory experience with an executive coach—Mike has followed his passion for serving others. Now, he partners with clients to help them find purpose, confidence, and meaning in their professional lives. In 2025, he earned his Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential from the International Coaching Federation and is actively pursuing his Professional Certified Coach (PCC) certification. In December 2025, he became an official University of Notre Dame Alumni Career Coach.
Outside of work, Mike volunteers as a Career Readiness Coach with FOURBLOCK, a non-profit organization that supports military servicemembers and their spouses transitioning into the civilian workforce, and co-hosts the New England Veterans Gathering, a monthly networking event for veterans in the Greater Boston area.
He's been married to his wife Katherine for ten years (and counting). They have two children, ages 5 and 2. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, and supporting all the local Boston sports teams—along with his beloved Manchester City Football Club.
