Bryan Hedrick
Bryan Hedrick, PhD, DMin is a performance strategist, leadership coach, and researcher who specializes in helping elite performers—senior executives, special operations personnel, and high-impact leaders—strengthen identity, resilience, and decision-making under pressure. Drawing on more than 23 years of service in the U.S. Army and over a decade in U.S. Army Special Operations, Bryan brings a rare blend of operational experience, academic rigor, and human-performance expertise to leaders who want to elevate clarity, focus, and long-term effectiveness.
As the Group Chaplain for 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) and an adjunct professor of leadership studies at the University of the Cumberlands, Bryan has spent his career developing evidence-based strategies that enhance cognitive performance, emotional stability, and strategic leadership. His research includes peer-reviewed publications on spirituality, hardiness, and human performance, and he is the creator of the Stability of Self Inventory (S2i)—a groundbreaking psychometric assessment designed to measure identity stability and predict leadership resilience and behavioral consistency.
Bryan has led human-performance initiatives for some of the military’s most elite units, including pioneering the Spiritual Performance Program within U.S. Army Special Operations Command’s Human Performance and Wellness Program. He has contributed to strategic readiness and resilience efforts across the Army and Air Force and consults with high-performance corporate leaders to help counter cognitive overload, regain focus, and operate with greater internal alignment.
Working at the intersection of identity, performance, and leadership, Bryan partners with CEOs, founders, and executive teams navigating complexity, rapid growth, and high-stakes decision environments. His coaching and consulting help leaders cultivate a stable sense of self, lead with authenticity, and build the resilience required for long-term success.
Outside of work, Bryan is a devoted husband to Jessica for over 20 years and a proud father of four. He enjoys woodworking, reading, and creating meaningful memories with his family.
